~New Gadget~

I discovered this new little gadget today and thought it was pretty neat! Type in your e-mail address, activate, and my blog will send you e-mails each time I post something new. Pretty neat, huh? Little things amaze me, y'all.

Just go to the very bottom of my page (right before all my preggo pics) and you will find it!

I'm not going to post my new blogs on Facebook anymore unless I think they are REALLY worth reading.

*My Morning at the Doc's Office*

We had a doctor's appointment this morning!!!! I get so excited at each appointment. Last night I tossed and turned for hours because I was so ready to hear my little gummy bear's heart beat again. Plus, I couldn't get comfortable. Stupid me, went off and left my Boppy pillow ("Bobby") in Dauphin Island.

It must have gotten pushed under the bed or something because Levi and I both went back into our room to check and make sure we got everything. Anyhoo......I finally got to sleep about midnight.
When we got to our appointment, I got up on the scales and had only gained one pound this month! That was a shocker! Yaay me. When the Doc came in the room he felt of my belly and then put that thingamajigger on my belly to listen to the heart beat.

~~Ahhhhhhh..... I was in Heaven for a minute or two~~
~~The sound I had waited to hear again for 4 weeks~~

Like always, he asked if I had any questions for him and I asked (haha) "Are you sure we can't get the sonogram done today????" And guess what he said?.......
(Hang on let me take a breather.........................)
He said he wants to wait until next time to get some measurements, BUT
(Hang on let me take another breather.......................)
he would let me get one done just to see if we could tell the sex IF the lady that did the sonograms was there...she was on vacation........ ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Who in the world does that woman think she is taking a VACATION!? I could be sitting here right now blogging about how " I'm having a boy!" or "I'm having a girl!" Or spending all my money buying cute little miniature golf clubs or cute little hair bows,

BUT NOOOOOOOO....

she was on vacation.........

Ok, sorry.....I just needed to vent a little bit..... SO our next appointment, and to find out the sex, is July 26 and (this one is going to come as a shocker, I'm sure)....
 I.       CAN"T.       WAIT!!!!!

I've been feeling some movement the past week or so. Sometimes right before I go to sleep, I think I feel little kicks, but nothing undeniable yet. Right now it just feels like he/she is doing front flips or rolling around or something. Maybe break dancing, who knows. I'm really ready to feel a kick. I may be wishing it to stop in a few months, but for right now I wish he/she would really lay a good one on me. Tomorrow I will be 17 weeks..... Is it too early to start a registry?????????? Because I really want to start one! Are y'all starting to understand the extent of my problem with lack of patience yet?  haha Do they make medication for this problem???

One more little tid bit I'd like to share that made my day even better! I went and visited a friend of mine after my appointment today (her daughter was in my class this past year). She said she was telling her daughter, Maddie, the night before that she was going to see me today and she said, "Mom, I've been thinking...I think I just want to stay in Mrs. Ponder's class." They explained to her that she had to move up every year to keep getting smarter and she said, " No, I think I'll just stay in Mrs. Ponder's class until she dies.... and then I'll move up." She is just too cute. I'm going to miss her next year.

Love,
happy mommie and lil break dancer

16 Weeks Pregnant!

Week 16
-a few days late...I was preoccupied on Friday :)
Over the past three weeks your magical-gro baby has managed to add on yet another 2 full inches of length (totaling about 4.5 inches) and now weighs a whopping 3.5 ounces! Guess what? Your little lollipop is not so bobble-headed anymore! Yep, your baby's head-to-body ratio is starting to even out, as the rest of their body - including their arms and legs (the better to kick you with!) plays catch-up.One of the most anticipated moments in pregnancy is the "quickening" or the first time you undeniably feel your child move inside of you.
Women claim to feel it as early as 14 weeks. That said, other women laugh at the thought of that woman cherishing a fart that's rumbling in her small intestines. In general, it's safe to say that after 18 - 20 weeks, all women will experience the quickening as a definitive non-fart poke or prod from within their womb.
The bones that are now in place in his ears means he can probably hear your voice as you talk to your partner and pals and sing in the car. In fact, studies have found that babies who are sung to while they're in the womb recognize the same tune when it's sung to them after they are born (so choose your baby Muzak with that in mind…). While he’s getting used to your voice, the tiny muscles in his body, especially the ones in his back, are gaining strength, so he can straighten out a little more.
This little one's a looker — with a face that has both eyebrows and eyelashes — but a skinny looker since there's no baby fat yet. And here's the skinny on baby skin: It's practically translucent now, so if you took a peek inside your uterus, you'd be able to see your baby's blood vessels under that thin skin.

I can definitely tell the baby has been growing lately! My tummy is feeling a lot different and my scar from where my belly button ring was is looking a tad bit stretched. I have also been having a lot of tugging and stretching cramps. He/She is getting comfy and making room! :)
My next appointment is this week. I'm so excited. I can't wait to hear my little sugar plum's heart beat again. I just wish I could get the ultrasound done to tell whether its a boy or a girl :( Oh well....what's four more weeks when I've waited this long, right? ......sigh.......
Levi went to Sam's yesterday and bought our first big box of diapers! I got them out and played with one and Levi said, "Yeah, let's just see if you still feel that way about them this time next year." haha True..true..
We are going to try and go to Dallas this weekend to look at cribs and hopefully be able to make a decision on one. I can't wait to get our crib and chair for some reason.
Well, that's all I have for now...and baby's hungry for a snack ;D

Impatient Mommy and Growing Lollipop

I'm BAAAAAAAAaaaaaaack!

This blog may be boring because I'm basically going to recap our vacation so me, myself, and I can remember what we did each day.
Pictures are on my facebook if y'all would like to see those.

Saturday- We woke up early and all pulled out about 5:15. I had been having horrible stretching pains all day the day before and they started up again as soon as we left :/ Baby is doing some serious growing! Luckily, the pain didn't last all day. We all (Me, Levi, Lucas, Laura, Landry, Reagan, Morgan (Reagan's friend), Buddy, Susan, and Ethan) stopped and ate lunch at some chicken joint down in Louisiana (yuck..). We finally got to the house on Dauphin Island about 3:00. We got settled in, relaxed a little bit, and then went to eat at Barnacle Bill's. I ordered a BLT and the rest of the group got seafood. I read that pregnant women aren't supposed to have too much seafood in one week so I tried to limit myself as much as I could. AND I knew we were going to cook a lot of seafood at the house. The waitresses shirts said something like "the food's great, the service sucks." They weren't lieing. A couple of hours later we finally made it back to the house. I was in bed by 9:30.

Sunday- Laura and I left Dauphin Island in search of a grocery store. We found a little Wal-Mart about 40 minutes away. We loaded that buggie up! I pushed the buggie and she piled in the food....until the buggie got heavy and she wouldn't let me push it anymore. I started having stretching pains again while we were there..ugh..and they continued the rest of the day off and on. We checked out (wow) and made our way back to the island. We passed a neat looking restaurant right on the water that we decided we needed to eat at one night called Pelican Reef. We called it Pelican Brief though ha. We made the men unload all the groceries, had lunch, and changed in to our swimsuits to hit the beach!!! YAAAY!!! The other half of our group got there so they joined us. (Jeff, Heather, 17 month old Hannah, Brian, Robin, and 13 month old Briston) We had two tragedies that day. 1) Levi lost his Oakleys in the ocean that he had just bought a few weeks before and 2) Brian lost his wedding ring in the ocean. They were not happy campers..or should I say happy boogie boarders. The wind got pretty ferocious at times so we had a little trouble getting our umbrellas to stay in the sand. Levi and Lucas were chasing our umbrellas all over the beach! That night we cooked hamburgers and french fries and sat on the back porch. This night I think I got in bed at 9! I'm either getting old, the sound of the ocean is way too relaxing, or this preggo thing wears me out! Or maybe it's a combination of all three..

Monday- We spent most of the day on the beach. The guys went to Skinner's and bought shrimp and oysters to go with the fish they were going to catch the next day. They went and got everything on this day because Skinner's was closed on Tuesdays. We had steaks, baked potatoes, salad, and fried okra that night. After supper we went down to do a little night crab catchin'. I quickly figured out that I highly disliked this activity. I thought I remembered having the time of my life doing this as a child...but those Dauphin Island crabs are psycho! They're big, blend in with the sand, and try to chase you! Nope..nope..didn't like it. Laura and I plopped our butts in a chair far enough away where they couldn't get us! Levi, Lucas, Reagan, and Morgan however, had a great time! Levi and Lucas were like little 10 year olds again. They would go and catch them with their hands, throw them in the bucket, and Levi would watch them and make sure they didn't get out (and talk to them too by the way LOL "Get on back in there!") Did I mention they were huge!? They could almost just jump right out of the bucket. Like, size of my hand, huge :/ I remember "little sand crabs" being....LITTLE!  We should have thrown those suckers in the frying pan. Once again..in the bed by 9:30......

Tuesday- The guys left at 7 a.m. to go Deep Sea Fishing. Laura, Landry, Reagan, Morgan, and I walked down to the bay side that morning. There was a little island that we had to walk through the water to get to, but it was worth it. We found lots of hermit crabs (I had never seen hermit crabs in the wild before..only in stores), a washed up dead sting ray, lots of seashells, a "shark tooth", and a "prehistoric brick from Atlantis." After our little adventure to the bay, I did some laundry, tried to vacuum up some of the sand that had accumulated in our room and bathroom, and then we all went to the marina and welcomed the men back. They all took Dramamine before they got on the boat, but Brian still got sea sick. I was afraid Levi would get sick since this was his first time, but he didn't :) We didn't go down to the beach that afternoon since the guys had been out in the sun all day. Jeff and the rest of the group came over and we cooked the fish that the guys caught on their fishing trip, boiled shrimp, corn, green beans, and twice baked potatoes. Everyone (but me) also ate some fresh oysters.....Preggos can't have raw oysters....they are my favorite....I was mad.... that evening we got to watch a lightning storm in the distance. It was pretty neat until that night when it stormed. I think I had my first protective mommy instinct. I put my arms around my belly when loud thunder woke me up. Oh and guess what? I was in bed by 9:30.

Wednesday- We layed out on the beach all day and that evening we took some family pictures. We then left the island to go to that little restaurant Laura and I spotted on the way back from Wal-Mart that day, The Pelican Reef. Service there was horrible again, but the food was great. Maybe it's an Alabama thing.. I ordered Flounder, crab, fried oysters, shrimp, and coleslaw. I only ate the Flounder and the coleslaw though. I thought the crab was going to be crab legs and it was fried crab claws. Yep, in the bed by 9:30.

Thursday- Levi went and got us Subway for breakfast and then we got dressed to go to Gulf Shores. Buddy, Susan, and Ethan ended up having to leave. Susan is an attorney and had work sent to her. We rode a 35 minute ferry from Dauphin Island to Gulf Shores. I didn't care for the ferry too much. It kind of made me queasy. I tried to keep my attention on Landry or my phone most of the time. When in Gulf Shores, we ate at LuLu's which was wonderful! It was like a mini amusement park/restaurant. We ordered some chips and salsa that was out of this world good! I think I enjoyed the atmosphere more than the food though. Outside the restaurant, Levi found a shaved ice stand where I finally got to have a pina colada! I had wanted to make some at the house, but there wasn't a blender :( We drove around and did a little sight seeing and then stopped at some souvenir shops. Laura spotted a TCBY so we pulled in and had a little snack. Or everyone else did. I'm not a big fan. We headed back to the ferry to go back to the island. Once again, I tried to keep my attention on Landry instead of the water. That evening we ate steak and shrimp and Reagan, Morgan, Levi and Lucas had a volleyball tournament. I had not laughed so hard in a long time!! The sunset that evening was BE-A-U-TIFUL! I took pictures, but you just had to be there... Yep, you guessed it...9:30

Friday- Laura, the girls, and I went down the road to a little bakery for breakfast. Unfortunately, we got there too late and all the good stuff was gone. So, we went to Subway. After breakfast, we got our swimsuits on and headed down to the beach. The girls got a canoe and had a lot of fun with it! Levi thought I needed to get out of the heat for a while so we went and did a little last minute souvenir shopping and ate lunch. We headed back down to the beach about 3:30. Lucas went and got more shrimp and we had fried shrimp, boiled shrimp, fried okra, and I had some left over green beans. Loving me some green beans this week for some reason. We started packing everything up that night so we wouldn't have to do so much the next morning. Levi and I tossed the volleyball around and then I discovered TONS of shells under the house. I tried to collect a bunch for my classroom. I actually stayed up late this night! 9:45.........

Saturday- sad day...sad sad day... I had to say goodbye to the beautiful ocean and beach...We got on the road about 8 and made it to Linden to get our "babies" at 4:15. They were SO excited to see us!!!We then went and picked up Minka and she gave me the biggest hug! We were packed in the car like a can of sardines on the way home! We had all of our luggage and beach gear, 3 dogs, their kennels and beds, and the two of us (or should I say three of us) in my little car. Thankfully, the drive wasn't long. We unpacked and crashed on the couch.

Levi and I decided that besides our honeymoon in Playa del Carmen, that was the best vacation we had ever been on :D

~Beach Time~

Hi Ya'll! I had my first prenatal massage the other day. The main reason for getting one was to help with my sciatic nerve I wrote about in a previous blog. Of course, it didn't help one bit. I won't say the name of the place I went, but I definitely won't go back again. (For prenatal massages, that is) A friend of mine suggested a lady named Emily Phillips, so I'll be going to her for my next prenatal massage. The massage wasn't bad, it was just that I had to put my belly in a hole in the table. I looked like a walrus with panties on flopping around trying to get my belly situated in a hole.... Not my finest moment. I would say something else about my boobs, but I'll spare you that information.
My sweet parents-in-law took Levi and I to Bryce's to eat Wednesday evening. I LOVE BRYCE'S! Their fried fish, tartar sauce, and macaroni and cheese can not be beat. Period. I also got to see my great aunt and her family there. I don't get to see them enough. After dinner, Levi and I went over to Lucas and Laura's and discussed the vacation and I played with Landry a bit. She is the cutest little thing.... Even when she's grouchy! Poor thing is teething right now :(

Lately, I've been racking my brain about cribs and things I need to register for. I know that babies require many things, but my gracious! I'm so ready to find out the sex of this baby so I can get started on it. This is definitely going to be a chore! I found a "cheat sheet" online of what now mommies would have registered for if they knew then what they know now. I spent all day the other day looking at just cribs and bedding. Decisions, Decisions!!!! What do yall think about this crib??

It's convertible. I've pretty much fallen in love with it, but Levi would like to go to Shreveport and look at some more. Oh well, its fun! I just want to get everything NOW NOW NOW! I'm like an impatient 4 year old! Maybe this is God's way of trying to teach me patience......it's not working.
I feel so blessed to have so many people in my life that already love this baby so much. Whether it's phone calls/texts/messages from people just checking on us or people offering ways to help us out, I have been overwhelmed by all the love! So thankful for all my family and friends.

I spent the day today with Olivia. First, we went to our grandparents house and visited with them for about an hour. They are very excited about this baby. I never thought my Bigdaddy would play with and talk to my belly! haha  Memaw loaded me up with some fresh tomatoes for the baby. I'm still all about some fruits and veggies. While at Laura and Lucas' the other night, "Farmer Lucas" gave baby some cucumbers out of his garden Mmmmmm. After our visit with Memaw and Bigdaddy, we made a quick stop at Sonic, went to my hair appointment, and then ate at McAlister's. That crazy sister of mine had only eaten at McAlister's once! She very much enjoyed it! And I put a major hurtin' on the salad I got. It was so big that I didn't think I was going to put a dent in it and the next thing I know it was completely gone. I guess I was hungry... Olivia took this goofy picture of me while eating.

After lunch, we took Toby to the vet for his check up. He was not thrilled about this, however. Aunt Livy got him a bone afterwards so I think he forgave us. Everyone at the vet's office asked about Minka. She's quiet the celebrity around there :)

I know I said this in my last blog, but I'll say it again. I'm extremely excited about our vacation coming up! I've been packing all week and pretty much have everything packed except for little things like my toothbrush. We haven't been to the beach in almost 4 years, so I CAN NOT wait to put my toes in the sand!

We are going with 4 other couples and their kiddos. I just wish I could enjoy some fresh, raw oysters and adult beverages :D Tomorrow I have to get my tires aligned, take the dogs to their "grandparents" in Linden, and double check all my packing. We leave at 5 a.m. Saturday morning. I love road trips <3 Driving there is fun....it's the drive home that's not too much fun.
The drive down there, however, is going to be interesting to say the least. It's probably going to take us 15 hours to get there instead of the 9 hours MapQuest says it takes. Traveling with 5 people, a pregnant woman (me), a 10 month old, a two year old, and two teenagers may require frequent stops...... Oh well, as long as we get there. Then we have a whole 7 days to enjoy! The rest of the group won't get there until Sunday.
Well, I think I'm out of things to bore ya'll with...if anyone even reads this silly thing. Time to chow down on some Firehouse Subs! Don't worry, I always put deli meat in the microwave first! :)

Love,
mama walrus and my little tomato lover

Yucky Swimsuits!

So let me just start out by venting a little. SOMEONE HAS GOT to do something about all these HORRIBLE maternity swimsuits! Gross! AND I also think that more places should have maternity clothes. Yes, some places (like Target) have a few racks, but dang..I go for a cute top and I have 3 to choose from. The only place I've found cute maternity clothes is in that Motherhood store in the mall, but NO WHERE has cute swimsuits. Not even Old Navy...And I LOVE Old Navy...or did before I was preggo. Even if Old Navy did have cute maternity clothes or swimsuits, you have to get them online. Grrrrrr.... We are going to the beach soon and I have swimsuits that look like something my grandma would wear. I almost considered wearing my pre-preggo bikinis and letting it all show! Don't worry, that thought quickly passed.
We finished up all of our vacation shopping this weekend. Thank Goodness! Swimsuits, sunscreen, goggles, beach chairs, umbrella, etc. etc. I got this CUTE beach towel that I'm completely in love with!

Now all I have to do is start packing, get my oil changed and get my car inspected :/ I got a pedicure today and I don't want to overdo it for one day, so I'll just wait til tomorrow to start all that.....haha
Baby Ponder is very excited about our vacation! It'll be his/her first trip to the beach haha Mama and Daddy are pretty excited also. It's been a LONG time since we've been to the beach so we are WAY over due!

Trimester 2---Yaaaayyyy!

Wow, look at me go. Already posting again! :) I had to write something today though! Today's a milestone... I am now in my second trimester! I'm so excited and I feel like a load of bricks have been lifted. My one caffeinated beverage a week may change to two or three a week. Watch out!
This week I've felt GREAT! No more throwing up, I have had more energy, and my boobs don't hurt when you look at them... But, I still have food aversions. Chicken. Chicken is my enemy! Can't even look at the crap! When Levi lays his chicken breasts out on the counter to thaw, I make him put a towel over it because I very well may throw up if I see it. I also have been having a hard time getting comfortable at night. My lower back has been killing me. I went and bought one of those fancy smancy Boppy pillows and it's works pretty well. I just look like a major idiot trying to get situated on the thing.
Has anyone had trouble with their right thigh going numb and/or tingling? Man, that is annoying! I hate reaching down and not being able to feel my own leg! It does it all the time! Standing up, lying down, doesn't matter. The Doc said it was the baby on a nerve or something? Does anyone know how to make this not happen as much?
As far as food cravings, I can't eat enought fruits and vegetables!!! I don't want bread, meat, candy, CHEESE (if you know me, you know why I put that in all caps)...just fruits and veggies. Need a fruit cup anyone? I have 26. Seriously..I try to eat eggs and wheat toast or something like that in the mornings, but the rest of the day I'm mostly chowin down on tomatoes, celery sticks, strawberries, fruit cups, etc. Early in my pregnancy all I wanted was watermelon. We almost went bankrupt buying the pre-cut watermelon before they were in season! It was like 8 bucks for a small tub of watermelon that I devoured in a day. I also craved milk early on. And I HATE milk! Hate isn't even a strong enough word for the way I feel about milk. I had to drink chocolate milk... I just couldn't do the white stuff.
Levi and I have been doing a lot of reading. I know that "nothing will prepare you to be a parent," but we would like to at least TRY to be prepared, haha. Here's some of our reading material at the moment.

And here's a little info about Gummy Bear this week. I love keeping up with exactly what the baby is doing each week.

If you could peek inside yourself now, you'd see a baby the size of your clenched fist (and come to think of it, at 14 weeks of fetal development, your little one can clench his or her own fist!). As fetal development continues, your baby also has the coordination, strength, and smarts to wiggle his or her fingers and toes and even suck a thumb (how cute is that?). At about 3.5 inches long, your peach-sized baby's little body and limber limbs are coordinated enough for loads of complicated motions. In fact, it's very likely that they're in the middle of some fancy break-dance moves right now! Your baby is also starting to develop the ability to move their eyes this week, although their eyelids remain fused shut for another three months.Growth is happening on top of the head as well — by 14 weeks pregnant, your baby could be sprouting some hair (though the final color may not be determined until birth) and the eyebrows are filling in, too.Hair growth isn't limited to the baby's head, though. He or she is also covered with a downy coating of hair called lanugo, largely there for warmth. As fat accumulates later on in your pregnancy (the baby's fat, not yours — though that will accumulate, too), most of the lanugo will shed — though some babies, especially those born early, still have a fuzzy coating at delivery (it sheds soon afterward).

Oh, and I call the baby "Gummy Bear" because a few days before I found out I was pregnant (it was near Easter) I had a dream that I was pregnant with an Easter egg with a gummy bear floating around inside it. Weird things must go through my head.. HAHA

Of course I can't forget about the Ponder family pooches  ;)  Millie and Minka have been maxin' and relaxin' and Toby has been practicing sitting up by himself... I SERIOUSLY think he thinks he is human. Oh, and while I'm on the dog subject..one of my books said to get a baby doll and carry it around and pretend it's real to get your insanely jealous, overprotective, thinks he is a baby, sweet dog (Toby) used to you showing your attention to something else. Good idea? Bad idea? Hmmm... Anyway, here's some pics of the sweeties this week.

Love,
elizabeth and gummy bear

~*Baby Ponder*~

Since I will be 14 weeks pregnant tomorrow and have just now started this blogging thing, I'll recap the last few months for y'all! After months of trying to conceive, Levi and I went to our doctor and discovered I had a thyroid problem that was not allowing me to ovulate! UGH... So, he put me on some medicine and within a couple of weeks I was preggers!!!!! I began feeling a little nauseous one evening while we were spending time with some friends and continued to feel that way for a couple of days. I took a home pregnancy test and it said negative, but I just KNEW I was pregnant. One day after work, I went to the doctor and had a blood test done to see if I was pregnant. I didn't tell Levi because I was afraid it was going to say negative like all the other hundreds of tests I had taken. I also didn't want to get his hopes up on my crazy feeling. The nurse told me they would call me the next day with the results. I prepared myself for a "I'm sorry Mrs. Ponder, but the test was negative." I got the call at 10:30 while I was in the middle of teaching ANNNNDDD she told me it was positive and that I was going to be a mommy! I'm tearing up just thinking about that phone call. The nurse asked me what made me come in for the blood test and I told her I had been feeling pregnant, but the home tests were saying negative. She informed me that the reason they were saying negative was because I had only conceived the week before and it was too soon for the home tests to show positive. She also told me I must be extra sensitive to the pregnancy hormone to have been having symptoms so early. Basically, I started having morning sickness 3 or 4 days after I conceived. Crazy, huh? I grabbed the teacher next door and had her watch my class while I went to the restroom and bawled for a good 5-10 minutes. That was the happiest moment in my life! I had to refrain from calling Levi because I didn't want to tell him over the phone. --Remember: He doesn't even know I had the blood test done-- When we started trying for a family, I had a shirt made that says "Future Ponder Baby" and when he came home from work that afternoon I had it on. Needless to say, he was very surprised :)

Since I wasn't very far along, we had to wait a whole month to go to the doctor for our first check up! Now people, this is an extremely long time when 1) you want to know if everything is ok and 2) your dear, wonderful husband doesn't want to announce it until after the first appointment. Which I completely understand and everything, but if you know me, I'm not exactly the most patient person in the world. Especially when all I wanted to do was run down the road shouting, "I'M PREGNANT!!!" Anyhoo, our first appointment went great! He said I was 8 weeks 4 days at that time and everything was progressing normally. We got the ultrasound to see our little gummy bear and hear his/her little heart beat. By the way, it's the most amazing sound in the world. I boohooed. And I'm not talking about a little tear here, a little tear there. I'm talking about BOOHOOED. I screwed up the ultrasound because I was bawling so hard and the lady doing the ultrasound had to tell me, "Ma'am you're going to have to try to be still for it to work." I think I just held my breath the rest of the time. I was floating on cload 9 the rest of the day. She recorded the ultrasound on a DVD for us and I think I watched it 210 times when I got home. It's the most amazing thing EVER seeing and hearing your baby for the first time. For those of you who have kiddos, you know exactly what I mean. There are just no words to describe it.

So then, I have to wait another 4 weeks until my next appointment. I think until this baby is born I'm going to live for the next doctor's appointment. My sweet sister, Olivia, went with me to my appointment this time. I was 12 1/2 weeks. No ultrasound this time, but we got to listen to the heartbeat! If it wasn't for her sitting in the corner cracking me up, I would have definitely boohooed again. Every 5-10 seconds we heard a little "thump." The doctor said it was the baby kicking! Sounds like this baby is going to be a feisty, little thing!

It was so neat, but it made me want to feel the kicks EVEN MORE! I realize it's still really early, but I spend a lot of time during the day trying to be really still and feel the baby kick. A couple of times while lying in bed I thought I felt something, but it may just be little muscle spasms or something. Back to the appointment (sorry, I tend to ramble)...he said everything was sounding great. However, I was thinking that the appointment after this appointment was the one when we find out the sex of the baby........Nope......Remember what I said about me and patience....I started whinning like a child when he told me that! "But, but, but I thought it would be the next time." Soooo, I'll be 21 weeks before we find out. Grrrr I'm ready to starting shopping and registering!!! haha

My next appointment is on June 30.
I'm really going to try to keep this blog up to date!! =D

Tah-Tah For Now!
